Teror awarded its distinctions of Favorite Son and Adopted Sons and paid tribute through two Public Homages.

The Teror Auditorium was the venue this Thursday for the tribute ceremony honoring José Miguel Rodríguez, Antonia Solanes, Manuel Reyes, the Volunteer Group of the Basilica of El Pino, and the Drone Unit of the Telde Police.

The Teror Town Council held the award ceremony for the distinctions of Favorite Son, Adopted Sons, and Public Homages this Thursday, October 9, at an institutional event held at the Teror Auditorium.
The Teror-born architect José Miguel Rodríguez received the distinction of Favorite Son of Teror; midwife Antonia Solanes Rosell was named Adopted Daughter; and priest Manuel Reyes Brito was awarded the distinction of Adopted Son. Two Public Homages were also paid: one to the volunteer team of the Basilica of the Pine, represented by Rosi Rivero and Pepe Santana on behalf of the group, and another to the Drone Unit of the Telde Local Police (UNIDRON), received by Telde Police officer Juan José Florido.
The award ceremony, presented by Raúl Arencibia, concluded with a concert by Non Trubada.

The Mayor of Teror, José Agustín Arencibia, and the First Deputy Mayor, Sergio Nuez, presented the five honorary distinctions at a ceremony attended by the Teror Municipal Corporation, as well as the mayors of Telde, Juan Antonio Peña, and Gáldar, Teodoro Sosa, along with family members and members of the public who accompanied the honorees.
